On-line Yoga Training Weekends
These training weekends were developed for students who want a deeper experience and understanding of yoga. They also provide Yoga Alliance CEU’s for certified yoga teachers (12 hours for each training weekend).
Weekend Schedule
Fridays - 6 to 8pm
Saturdays - 10am to 6pm (1 to 2pm lunch)
Sundays - 10am to 1pm

Anatomy & Asana Module
April 16th to 18th
Included in this training weekend: major bones, major muscles, movements of the spine, types of joints, joint movements, in depth study of a minimum of 15 basic postures, and the application of muscle and joint movement to asana.

The Subtle Body Module A: Pranayama
June 18th to 20th
Included in this training weekend: Anatomy Of The Breath, Physiology Of The Breath, Pranayama, and the Inner Being. We will go over each of these topics that pertain to our subtle body. You will experience over ten Pranayama techniques.

The Subtle Body - Module B: The Chakras
August 27th to 29th
Included in this training weekend: The Prana Vayus, The Nadis, The Five Koshas, The Seven Main Chakras, The Three Gunas, two Chakra themed slow-flow Yoga classes. We will go over each of these topics that pertain to our subtle body.

Meditation Module
September 17th to 19th
Included in this training weekend: benefits and theory of meditation, styles of meditation, guided meditations using different techniques, malas, the Eight Limbs, mudras and mantras.
You will learn what malas are, and how to use them in meditation. We will go over each of the eight limbs. You will experience more than 10 hand mudras, learn when to use them, and how to incorporate mantra into your meditation.
It is recommended that you have a set of mala beads to use for this training. You can find them reasonably priced online.
September 17th to 19th

Ayurveda Module
October 1st to 3rd
You will learn the basics of Ayurveda, including daily routine, information about the doshas, and how the five elements relate. We will discuss Ayurveda lifestyle, Abhayanga (self massage), and you will experience asana practices for each dosha. You will also be encouraged to sip a balancing Ayurveda tea throughout the weekend, eat kitchari (a delicious, easy to digest meal), and you will have an opportunity to do some of the daily routine.
There are additional expenses for this weekend training for some Ayurveda supplies, if you want to participate in the daily routine practices. Colleen will provide you with the list once you register.
