What Makes This Training Special:
- The training is compliant with Yoga Alliance’s requirement; a total of 5 practice teaching hours per student.
- With a Hatha Yoga focus, you can build the foundation you need to teach any style of yoga that you choose.
- Anatomy is taught in a practical way, to help you understand it so that you retain what is important in being a yoga teacher.
- The small-group environment means that you receive the attention that you deserve on this exciting journey.
- You will be learning the roots of yoga, yoga that you can do for your entire life.
- I care about your yoga education, I think the world needs more exceptional yoga teachers.
- Bonus: The East Nashville neighborhood happens to be my favorite in the city. As a former New York City dweller the walkability of the neighborhood makes me feel right at home (and it is). Whether you live in the neighborhood, you visit often, or you are unfamiliar with it; I believe you will find many things to fall in love with here!
Attendance
'You are required to attend all scheduled meeting times. You are asked to be respectful of yourself, other trainees and teachers: show up prepared, and ready to learn. Studio doors will open 15 minutes prior to all meeting times, please arrive a few minutes early so that you are ready to start at scheduled time. Any missed time will have to made up, $90 an hour, or you can wait to make up missed time in the following year's teacher training program. Because all hours are accounted for and documented with Yoga Alliance, all missed time must be made up before you can officially graduate. If missed time is not made up by Week 11 (the closing weekend) you will not be able to participate, and you will have to wait until the following year's training to take your written and practical exam. There is an additional $200 fee for taking the exam at a time other than the training you signed up for.
To meet Yoga Alliance’s requirements for a 200-hour Registration and receive your certificate, attendance is mandatory for all of our meeting dates.
